In Memento, I paint the moments that are the parts of an experience but are often overlooked. We live in a time when so much attention is given to capturing the perfect image to post online, yet some of the most memorable moments happen once the camera is put away. Rather than depicting idealized moments, the paintings focus on traces: what remains after the first sip, after the meal is finished, after the dessert is broken, after an accident has already happened.

While the other paintings capture overlooked moments, BBS explores how memory can be activated by partial recognition. The wheel is partially concealed, yet its iconic form remains identifiable. Like a memento, it requires only a fragment to evoke a larger experience, reminding us that meaning often resides not in what is fully revealed, but in what we already carry with us.

Each work serves as a quiet reminder that authenticity often reveals itself not in the image we choose to present, but in the fleeting moments we rarely think to capture. Through these paintings, I invite you to celebrate the authenticity of everyday life and the moments we rarely think to document, but somehow remember the longest.
